ANCILLARIES OF SECL

safbul1d.gif (244 bytes)After formation of SECL, Ancillarisation programme started from 1987-88 and as on date 60 Units are presently working and supplying 30 items to SECL annually. All these  Units are located in the command area where Coal Mines of SECL are situated i.e. Bilaspur, Surguja, Shahdol, Korba and Raigarh.

In the year 2006-07 orders worth Rs 30 crores have been placed to ancillaries unit for different items.

In order to increase the off-take from Ancillary Units, some more items have been identified for Ancillarisation  and sent to State Authorities for publication.

SECL is extending following facilities to the declared ancillary units :

  1. Issue of tender documents free of cost and Exemption from payment of Security/Earnest Money.

  2. Purchase preference as under in case they qualify technically

        (i) Order to the extent of 100% or limited to their capcacity if ancilliary unit becomes lowest .

        (ii) Order to the extent of 50% of the tendered quantity if ancilliary unit confirms L-1 price..

    c. Centralised payment from H.Q.within 30 days  irrespective of the order placed by SECL H.Q. or Areas.

    d. In order to improve the quality parameters, wherever required, technical assistance is also being provided by the technical

       people of SECL from time to time.
