ISO ACCREDITATION

The central Workshop,SECL ,Korba has been accredited with ISO 9002:1994 License from Quality System Certification in the field of repair of old machines and manufacture of spares.The license is effective from 21st Dec 2000 .This is the first unit of SECL and second in the coal industry to achieve this  distinction .Process is on conversion of ISO 9002 :1994 to ISO 9001:2000 for central Workshop ,Korba.Further Central Workshop ,Gevra Area,Regional workshop,Bijuri ,Hasdeo Area and Regional Workshop ,Korea,Chirimiri Area have also been accredited with  ISO 9001: 2000 certification.

Also three opencast projects of SECL,namely Gevra,Dipka and Kusmunda have been accredited with  EMS(Environmental Management System)14001 Certification.

GIS (GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM)

SECL has also established a GIS centre at its HQ at Bilaspur as a part of the Institutional Strengthening of Environmental and social Management Capabilities of SECL.
